Write these kind of press releases for results...

One of the best tips I think I can give you is actually the frame of mind to be in when you begin to write a press release.

This is very important because you don't want to sound like a cheap car salesman trying to sell everything under the sun (No offence if you sell cars for a living :). But, as I mentioned in the report, try to write in such a way that makes you sound like a news reporter or journalist. It works!

That's exactly what I did when I wrote the press releases for soap making and dog training -- I wrote those press releases in a frame of mind where I was pretending to be a news reporter - offering an interesting report about something.

Often times the words are already written for you and all you have to do is come up with a good press release by using the 'reporter' method I just mentioned.

What I mean by: "the words are already written.." is the sales copy on a webpage of a product or service, will usually contain all you need for a potentially good press release.

To be more specific on this...let's say you really like the idea of making a few extra bucks a month by promoting affiliate products or your own products through press releases.
The first thing you do is obviously pick or choose a product somewhere, maybe at Clickbank or some other place that you can join for free and choose a few products to start with.

This is all I did with the Dog training press release -- I went to www.clickbank.comand looked around until I found something that I thought had a genuine interest.
Knowing a little about the demand is important too as you want tons of readers!

And in the report you probably noticed that I use a little tool to find how many queries a particular keyword is getting in the search engines. It's free to download and use.
Here's a link to it on my resource site: http://www.nichejournal.com/sat/content.html (First link on the right-hand column - Enjoy!

OK, when you find something you think might draw an audience...quickly check out the sales page and see what the copy is like. A good salespage usually tells a story and many times the headline might even contain a few words you can use for your opening.

This just so happened to be the case with the Dog training ebook. The headline became my opening statement: "Dog Obedience Training in one Evening - Who Would Have Ever Thought" Quite Catchy huh!

I just took the headline from here http://nichejournal.com/dog_training.html and commented on it like I was in disbelief. Drama works like a charm if you use it right and if it calls for it.

In this case, Training a dog in 'ONE' evening qualifies as pretty dramatic. It's either a bunch of hype, or someone has really discovered something unique! Create curiosity in a reader's mind and they'll be powerless to resist clicking through and seeing what it's all about!

I know this email went kinda long but I wanted to point some of this stuff out so you can begin to write the kind of press releases that get results!

In the next day or so, I'll go further on this subject of "the words are already written.."and show you how to craft a press release without hardly writing a word ;)

This is exciting stuff! Stay tuned.

One other thing, did you get a chance to watch that video I created about the software that allows you to send your press releases to multiple sites without having to visit each site individually? Check it out when you get some time...http://nichejournal.com/recommend/pr

Let me share a little something with you I discovered one day when I was over at scriptlance.com. A few months back, I was looking to hire someone at scriptlance to to get me link partners for two websites I just finished.

Just for those that are a little in the dark about what a "link partner" is... simply stated, a link partner is basically someone whom you have done a link exchange with -- you've put a link on your site pointing to someone else'ssite and they've done the same. Usually, the page where yours and your link partner's links point to is the "important page" -- the page that you want to rank well in the serps (Search Engines)

Make sense?

I'm not going to take the time to explain the details of why getting link partners is important because I assume that most of you already know this. But incase you're in the dark about this too, then I recommend you read "7 steps to massive website Traffic" by my friend Brad here: http://www.nichejournal.com/seo/report/
As soon as you're done reading it then come back to this when you get to the 'link partners' part ;-)

Ok, moving on to my discovery. I was at scriptlance.com looking to hire someone to find me link partners. If you know anything about scriptlance you know that it's basically a place where you list a "work order" with a detailed description of something you want done and people come along and bid on the job.

Scriptlance is a great place to have pretty much anything done from software developement to hiring a Ghost writer to hiring someone to sort through an excel file to help you with your taxes. Check it out when you have time!http://www.scriptlance.com/cgi-bin/freelancers/r.cgi?nnj

I got several several bids the 1st day for my "link partners" listing most of which said they would charge me a fixed price for getting link partners -- anywhere from $2 to $5 for 15 or 20 link parterners.

These seemed to be the going rates for hiring someone to do this task for you. However, I like to find the best deal so I decided to wait a few days as the listing was for 5 days anyway.
On the 3rd day this one guy gave me a quote of $40 and said he could get me a 'boat load' of link partners. He gave a little bit of a description on how he would do this and he even left a URL which I think was a little mistake on his part because I was getting ready to accept this guy's bid UNTIL I went to the URL.

At this URL I discovered something very interesting!
I found that this guy was right! He could get me a bunch of link partners using a "free to join" site. It just so turned out that this site belonged to the guy who was bidding on my lsiting at scriplance. For whatever reason, he may have been looking to make a little money on the side or just build up his membership base. Either way,it's still a pretty interesting little site and IT DOES get you link partners fast -- A TON at that!

How does it work? It's really quite simple, after you sign-up you just add your website's info ie; a little detailed descriptionof your site and what you want to say in the link anchor that others willuse to point your site. After you finish adding in your website and relevant info you'll be issued a little snippet of code in a few different languages PHP, ASP, etc.I use PHP becasue it's easiest for me.

You create a seperate page -- maybe call it "Links" or "resources" or something to that effect and you simply put this snippet of PHP codeon your new page and put a two-way link from this page and your homepage. Once you do this, then you go back to the site you got the code at then enter the URL of your links page where you put the snippet of code and click "validate" or "Check".

You'll get a "Success" message and then something very unique happens! Your new page that you just created you put the code on, fills up with link partners from other site members instantly. I have tested this for the last 4 months to see if there would be any negative effects but so far everything keeps rolling ahead with more and more link partners being added daily.

I also tested this on 2 seperate sites using nothing but this technique to see what my indexing times would be and the quickest out of the two is 3 days! The other one took 7 days.
Check it out www.linkdiy.com

They also added a couple of new features since I find it:
= Keyword Filter which excludes those keywords you don't want to link exchanges with.
= Option to Deny entire categories.

If you don't have the time to devote to getting link partners here's quick and easy, automatic way. www.linkdiy.com

Do you understand the importance of having link partners and the effect it can have on your sites? Maybe you have a website you're about to launch and you want to do the 'right things' necessary to ensure your site has a chance for decent rankings in the search engines.

Generally speaking, getting link partners is one of the very key things you can do for any site you have. It's one of the fastest ways I know of to get your sites indexed into the search engines as well as increase your PR (Page Rank) with Google.

Lately it seems that there's an ever increasing influx of techniques and products that try to show you how to quickly get your sites indexed... and some may even work, but nothing beats getting a relevant PR 6 to link back to you for a quick index into the serps!

If you haven't started on the task of getting other websites to link back to you then go ahead and get started, there are a number of free services you can use. Let me warn you though, it can be a tedious, time consuming chore just to get 100 sites linking back to you. Get your "copy & paste" techniques ready becasue you'll be doing alot of it :)

So, If you like the idea of sitting at your computer for a few hours a day then by all means - enjoy! BUT, if you like the idea of automating the task then check this out! (turn your speakers on)http://www.nichejournal.com/lm/

Now, HERE'S something you're going to love!

No MLM, no chain letters, no distributorships, no secret plans Just business ideas, stories and case studies of real people earning real money...

Right now you can Get 300 case studies of people who are actually making money online and offline. I talked with Ron, the Editor and Publisher of this site and he offered a very, very special deal so YOU can get access to the entire site immediately.

What kind of case studies will you find? Look at just a few here:

"Metallic Melodies" Here's a great example of someone who is having trouble keeping up with demand after they created a successful product by combining 2 ordinary items. You could do the same thing just by combining one of the items with different items you probably already have in your home...---

Success By the Inch Here's an unusual idea that could be done almost anywhere. If done right, it takes very little money ($25US?) to get started and several people have earned millions with this idea. You don't even need to own the items to sell them. All you need to do is keep your eyes open for situations where you can apply this idea. You can probably find one or more of these items in your own local area, but they could also be found in your country, worldwide or even the universe!

Here are several examples of how other people are doing it...---

Wholesale Drop Ship Resource Here's a wholesale source of products (not information products). They have a good variety of products, good prices and will even drop ship! These products could be sold on eBay, by mail order or other ways. This could be a whole new source of products for you. Take a look...---

Nutty Idea Creates $10,000,000 Business I first learned about this business idea and case study from a Dan Kennedy book called, "How to Make a Millions Dollar With Your Ideas." This business idea can be duplicated in many parts of the world. Maybe in your local area. You may not make $10 million dollars but it could be very profitable without many of the risks oftraditional businesses..---

Inventors Resources Here's a list of companies that are looking for products from inventors (or I imagine anyone else who has the rights to products that fit their market)---From Gas Station Manager to Multi-Millionaire What do you do when you are faced with problem? Do you quit, find someone else to blame, or turn the problem into a multi-million dollar idea? Here is the story of a former gas station manager who became rich by solving a problem with an amazingly simple idea.---

Stay-At-Home Moms Does $500,000 In Sales With Home Business. This stay at home mom isn't getting rich but she has received over $500,000 in orders from a business that's simple and inexpensive to start at home. It has nothing to do with party plans or Pyarmid Schemes...
These are truly some 'one of a kind' ideas and at $5 it's a steal! Although Ron hasn't put a deadline on this offer it could end at anytime.
Sign up now to get these and 293 MORE case studies ---
I love great money making ideas but
there's absolutely no way I can do them all.

Thus began the Niche News Journal Get a free subscription

Finally, for a change you can get some REAL, solid tid-bits of info
on REAL niche opportunities -- whether you want to work from
home or on the Internet.

Some Ideas are pure business models you can implement
immediately to generate some quick income...

others can balloon into vast little cash empires!
Take for example Joel Comm, who's really not a marketing Guru
like you see out there... but has a little secret cash empire running
right out of his home office, generating healthy paychecks from
Goolge Adsense on his litte website.

The Niche News Journal was one of the first to get
a hold of the information about Joel comm and publsihed
a quick memo about it way ahead of other top Niche News Letters.

******original message********
From: Scott Foster To: listserv@opt-list.net
Sent: Thursday, February 17, 2005 12:38 PM
Subject: You'd kill me if I waited to share this with you...

Hi ,

I was going to wait until next week... BUT once again,
here's more GREAT info!

I knew you'd be mad at me if you knew I waited to
tell you this. I just picked this up last night and I couldn't
harldy put it down.

I ended up getting to bed way too late because of it.
This is the ONLY guy I have ever heard of that was
allowed by Google to REVEAL his AdSense Earnings!

You can read all about here
or copy and paste this link into
your browser http://nichejournal.com/adsense.htm

All my best

-Scott
The Niche News Journal
*******end message*********
I know of and have actually spoken to one individual
who lives in St louis Ms with harldy any webmaster skills
who has taken the Information in Joel's book and

has been able to put it to good use and in less
than a month & half has been generating $100 -$200
a day in Google Adsense earnings.

This was the initial goal of The Niche News Journal.
To provide you with latest, up-to-date ideas
being used to generate income on & off the Net.

So far we've been able to keep it up!

This is a personal Invite From me, Scott
to get a subscription today.

What've you got
to lose?

All my best

-Scott
